Solid gold is a precious metal that will not oxidize or discolor. The 14k alloy is known for its durability, scratch resistance, and subtle hue.
925 Sterling Silver is an alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. We plate our silver jewelry in rhodium, which gives it extra shine and durability. Rhodium is one of the most expensive and precious metals due to its rarity.
Say what? We've got you: ver - may. Unlike regular gold plating, vermeil is a much thicker layer of gold which gives the pieces their long lasting color. For a piece to be considered vermeil, the gold must be a minimum of 10k and 1.5 microns. We use either 14 or 18K gold and a 2.5 micron thick plating. In short, gold vermeil isn’t your average plating - it’s super thick and durable to accomodate your active lifestyle.
When not wearing your jewelry, be sure to store it in the box it came in. This helps prevent scratching. Always remove your jewelry when applying scents and lotions. Ultra thick plating means you can wear your plated pieces in water, however we recommend removing your jewelry prior to showering or swimming when possible to maintain their shine.
Have a piece with 14k and diamonds only? Lucky you.
You can care for this by scrubbing gently with a toothbrush and warm water by itself or mixed with detergent-free soap. Silver, vermeil, or colored gem jewelry should be cleaned by buffing gently with a dry cloth.
Remove your jewelry before exercising, washing your hands or showering. Always apply perfumes, creams and hair care products before wearing. To clean, buff gently with a dry cloth. Store in a safe, dry place when not worn.
